Day 30 and 31 Friday and Saturday February 7 and 8

Me in crevasse at Jacob's Well

S, K's wife, at Jacob's Well

K

Rode bikes along the creek through downtown high rise to early lunch at El Alma on Barton Springs. S and Chris had the Crema de Elote while had the Enchiladaes Placeras and it was very toothsome. Another high steaks dinner was again called at the Ruud home which included ribeye and Korean BBQ meats with an after discussion of the novel American Dirt. A new face, Kathleen was there and we discussed Biloxi a bit. We said goodbye to C and D as the former went off to Sierra Club leadership training and the latter split for a tennis tournament.
     We went to Costco.
Winding south from Austin toward Wimberley, Blanco, the Blue Hole and Jacob's Well we met up with the surveyor K and his wife S for lunch in Blanco. I alone gut-bomb at these joints. We drove to K and S's home in the wild but also tame hills and met Jasper and Scout. Jasper was a swirling dervish of an Aussie and Scout was a stalward Dachshund. B was introduced to both but it didn't really go well. Out hosts showed around the area including the Blue Hole and Jacob's Well not to mention the cool little town of Wimberley. We shopped at HEB and made a supper of stewed chicken and roasted potatoes. Various topics came up for discussion and S remembered the little sacks of miniature brownies which S and I had a few of and which I would have loved to go back into the house after hours and have another but J would raise a ruckus, so no. We are in the van in the driveway possibly with recourse to Nabisco Honey Grahams.
