Turned south out of Pinnacles NP onto hwy 25 and thus to a 1 to 1and 1/2 lane road maybe named 35 or Indian Valley Road where one pickup was encountered after several hours going the other way with a couple of older cowmen inside. An excellent way to see the country as it might have been. Finally around noon we came to San Miguel and bought a Madonna image on a wooden plaque at the Mission. Thence to the carniceria for the two kinds of carne. And now to the lib for the update.
Threw in the trowel in Paso Robles in front of the Target and BevMo. Dense small droplets of rain half filling the air brought S to the point of signing us up for a nite at the Sundowner Motel in Morro Bay which we squeegeeed to on hwy 41 then, after dog walk, hit the Legends tavern and proceeded to engage with an ex-cop from San Jose who had plenty to say and who was often mistaken for Danny Devito. Spent some time in the van in the motel parking lot anyway making a quick dinner and searching for stuff. Topped off with graham crackers in the room. Open ended carried the day and, except for maybe BevMo, it was sharp and slick. The Off Season is On!!!
